The minute holes created by the Wood Borer from where the yellowish powder falls, is the sign of infestation. They can develop their colony inside the wooden structure & able to complete 4 to 5 generations. They infest the internal structure of wooden material and convert it into powder form. Depending on favorable conditions like moisture level, temperature they can infest to other adjacent furniture as the powder post betel can fly from one place to another.
The infested wooded structure was made empty & the tiny holes created by infestation & powder was cleaned with duster, The holes are injected with oil base chemical; there after all wooden structure will be sprayed thoroughly with oil base chemical.
